Got a little DIY tutorial for you today!
Perfect for those who love flowers, roses and decorating things! ♡
A week or so ago, I was feeling rather nostalgic and missing old style Japanese Gyaru fashion rather a lot..
So two blog posts ago, I wrote about my love for Gyaru fashion around 2010/11 and showed some items that used to be available to buy in Japan around that time.
A lot of those items consisted of shoes adorned with roses, bows and lace..
So I figured.. Seeing as I cannot buy shoes with huge 3D roses attached to them, why not make my own rose corsages to add to my items myself?!
And that is just what I did!
Keep reading to find out how you can make these beautiful 3D rose corsages to decorate your shoes, handbags, clothes, hair and even your home!
✧ 2 3D Roses
(with or without wire already attached)
✧ Strong Hair Clips
**If its possible to have wire already attached to your rose its a bonus! But if you don't, I'll show you how to attach it with the sting!
**Preferably the clip you will use will have a closed off top or teeth to stop the string slipping off.
First, you want to attach the string to the top half of the clip. Make sure the knot is good and tight by double, or even triple knotting it.
To attach the first rose, we want to thread the string between the leaves and the rose bud and wrap the string around 3 or so times.
Make sure to keep pulling it tight as you go.
Once you have wrapped it around a few times, we want to have the string come out between the leaves the opposite side you started.
Then tie the string to the other side of the top of the clip. Again make sure its secure with a double or triple knot.
You should have something that looks like this:
Start by using the wire and threading it through the top of the clip.
Then it is just a case of wrapping the wire round the top half of the clip like so:
Once you've done it a few times, leave some spare wire to wrap around the same area as the string on the big rose.
This will hold it steady an ensure the roses don't slip around.
Then you're all done!
Your roses should be nice and secure on the clip! And it should be easy enough to open and close it and attach it to things!
Here are a few examples of things I attached them to:
You can be so artistic and decorate your items as much as you want!
Changes any simple items in to princessy looking things hehe!
Hope this tutorial could be useful for you! Let me know if you give it a try!
